Indoor Cricket Zone Championships

Indoor Sports Victoria's Zones Championships is an elite-level competition where the state of Victoria is divided into five regional zones. These championships are held over a weekend and state squads for upcoming national tournaments are selected from these events.

The five regional zones are:

  • South East Magic (Frankston, Springvale, Traralgon, Cranbourne)
  • Eastern Eagles (Croydon, Oakleigh and Knox)
  • Country Cannons (Albury, Ballarat, Bendigo Sunbury and Shepparton)
  • Northern Pirates (Bundoora, Northcote and Hoppers Crossing)
  • Western Jets (Werribee, Geelong, North Geelong and Melton)

The Zone co-ordinators for each zone are:

  • South East Magic – Tim Peebles (Frankston), Peter Gigliotti (Springvale), Richard DeKaste (Traralgon), Chris Reid (Cranbourne)
  • Eastern Eagles – Aaron MacKenzie, (Croydon) Kris Krolokowsli (Oakleigh), Mal Gent (Knox)
  • Country Cannons – Trevor Caton
  • Northern Pirates – Graham Robinson (Bundoora), Alex Jesensek (Northcote), John Almond (Hoppers Crossing)
  • Western Jets – Aaron Straughair (Werribee), Rick Trezise (North Geelong), Mick Cassar (Melton).

Please note the Zone co-ordinators are subject to change for each Zone Tournament.

The Zone Champion is determined by the final placings in each division. These points are then added together and then divided by the number of teams entered from each zone.

  • 2011 - Eastern Eagles
